Oslo, 1952: A theft at the Viking Ship Museum catapults museum guard Max Falkenburg into the middle of a dangerous hunt for a mystical artefact: Thor’s legendary hammer.

He manages to recover the stolen item, but this is only the prelude to a deadly chase that takes Max across Iceland, Greenland and to the coast of Labrador. Fortunately for him, he finds support in the excursion of American archaeologist Frederick Crichton, and together they set out in search of Mjöllnir.

But powerful, ruthless enemies are already on their trail, and they will stop at nothing to get the hammer into their possession. On the coast of Labrador it finally comes to the all-decisive fight to the death …
